In-house tooling and model fabrication.

Meeting increasing requirements for reduced lead times, lower costs and improved quality, we fabricate all our tooling in-house. Capabilities include:

  • Epoxy / Polyurethane form molds.
  • Vacuum oven molds.
  • Laminated low / high temperature epoxy molds.

Working from customer furnished hardware, patterns, drawings, or electronic date, our experienced tool engineers and fabricators use the latest technology to provide our production personnel with the most reliable and accurate tools.

Receiving customer furnished data from our password protected FTP site, our CATIA / AUTO CAD operators translate and load the data into our CNC equipment, including:

  • 5 Axis CNC Router — 5’(x) X 10’(y) X 3’(z).

Used to machine masters from high-density polyurethane foams, fabricate aluminum mock-ups and shop aids, and trim composite lay-ups.

  • 3 Axis NC Mill — 40"(x) X 20"(y) X 20"(z).

Machining composites, high-density polyurethane foam, and aluminum, this machine fabricates steel fixtures, tools and mock-ups.

  • CNC Lathe — 1 5/8" Diameter.

Fabricates fastening hardware, i.e. capstans and spacers, used on assembly fixtures and production parts.

Perhaps the greatest advantage of having complete in-house tool and model making capabilities, is the close relationship between engineering, tooling and production. Whether its input during the design stage or suggested modifications after first article development, feedback from production personnel assures minimized labor costs during part fabrication.
